Biography
Born in New York City in 1934, Joan Wobst moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, in 1940 upon her father’s death. She attended Randolph-Macon Women’s College and graduated in 1956 with a major in German and a minor in sculpture. After marrying her husband, Frank in Dresden, Germany, Joan continued her studies at the University of Virginia and studied with Jack Greaves at The Ohio State University in 1984.
Joan’s sculptures are featured in public and private collections throughout the United States
