Inspired: Works Capturing the Magic of Flying Horse Farms

Artists and staff members from Hammond Harkins Galleries traveled to Mt. Gilead, Ohio
to learn about Flying Horse Farms and the kids and families they serve. Flying Horse Farms is a nonprofit organization
that provides magical, transformative camp experiences for children with serious illnesses – free of  charge.
Flying Horse Farms is a member of The SeriousFun Children’s Network, founded by actor, philanthropist,
and Ohio native, Paul Newman.  Works of art available in “Inspired” are inspired by our artists visiting the facility,
and interacting with kids there.

This gallery talk is about the Flying Horse Farms and our collaboration.
Artists Mark Bush and Karen Snouffer will speak, in addition to Flying Horse Farms
CEO/President, Mimi Dane, and a camper family.

“Brunch & Conversation” Summer Series

In 2014 Hammond Harkins Galleries offered “Brunch & Conversation.”
This series of talks occurred every third Saturday from June through August.
It was part of “Summer Selections,” an exhibition of works by gallery artists,
featuring work by artists participating in the Conversation series.
