Bridget Taylor
Artist Statement
Color has always been my greatest fascination. There is a moment when two or more colors come together in perfect harmony and create a jolt of discovery—that "ah-ha" moment. It is that feeling I continually pursue in my paintings.
Nature inspires the pieces I create. Cloudy skies, weathered rock formations, shimmering water, and expressive botanicals are woven throughout each composition. Vibrant colors are applied to canvas with my hands, creating texture, movement, and a tactile quality that invites viewers to form their own emotional connection with the work. Each painting is completed with a handmade frame designed to reveal multiple perspectives, encouraging the artwork to be experienced from more than one angle.
