Heart on Your Sleeve

A Public interactive wall installation by Andrea Myers

On view:

September 23-October 21, 2020 extended through November 15, 2020

on the Hammond Harkins exterior wall

An online catalog of Andrea’s work is now available here

In this current global and political climate, I found it timely to create an outdoor public interactive piece where people can bring small 2-D artworks, writings and mementos to place in one of over 150 repurposed denim pockets as a way to create a collective voice and a living time capsule of this present moment in history. The collection from the community will be exhibited in an online archive via photographs of the submissions. The denim pockets are remnants from a large denim installation I completed in East Germany, February 2020, which was possible through the sister city partnership of Columbus and Dresden, Germany.

Submission Guidelines:

Written, visual, small object based
