Stephen Galgas
Artist Statement
Currently living in Oakland CA, Stephen was born in Cleveland, OH and is a graduate from the Columbus College of Art and Design in Time Based Media Studies. His Limerent Objects series features panels of fused glass and other materials with compositions exploring the cycle of infatuation, heartbreak, and resilience.
Stephen teaches in the Visual Development department at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. His work can also be seen in the local Short North Gothic mural, painted in 2004, alongside his partner, Mike Altman.
